Can some describe the steps. I have tried a lot but failed.

1. Launch ST-R1.321 (this is the accurate version without defect)
2. Set com port
3. Open com port
4. Repair defect.......................Now confusion comes.....which way to go.
So, experts please describe steps 1 by 1.....please....................
